Quick Tip - Slow Cooker Liners

It's that time of year where we dig out our slow cookers. I love walking into the house after a long day and the hearty scent of dinner already cooked hits my nose. At times, I may love my Crock-Pot more than my family.

But I'm always amazed about the amount of people that are not aware of slow cooker liners.

There is nothing worse than listening to your kids complain that the food isn't coming off or they let it soak, only to leave it all night and then you're the one cleaning it the next day. (We have a rule in our house, whoever cooks, doesn't clean up. In this case, whoever filled the slow cooker (which is always me) doesn't have to clean up.)

Go out and get a box of these today. They come in regular and small, which is great for that tiny slow cooker you only dig out for party dips.

I'll warn you, if you're cooking something in it that needs to be shredded (like chicken or beef), you will tear the plastic and you will have to wipe out the cooker, but clean up is still minimal.

Thanks, Momma J

Why Not?

 Welcome.

You're probably wondering what you're doing here. Me too, actually,

But I woke up this morning and decided I wanted to start a blog. Trust, I consulted one of my closest friends and we thought this would be a great idea (she's a mom and author, so she's like an expert!). I'm writing this intro post, I'm sitting with my 16-year old as he takes an on-line quiz about US Government, ya know,  normal stuff. Fingers crossed he does well, or maybe Mom needs to go back to school. Eep!

What are my goals with this blog?

I'm not going to be cool enough to save the world or cure anything, but I think one of my greatest accomplishments in life is being a mom (cue the sappy music). Seriously, and while I'm not perfect (just ask the kids), I think I've learned plenty and if not, I'm having a good time and why not share. There's too much blah in this world and I like to add a little humor or fun to things.

In turn, I ask you too share when it's relevant. Although, no mean or negative comments need apply. If you have nothing nice, or constructive, to say, keep it to yourself. I'm all for free speech, so you can start your own blog. 😁😁

Getting to Know You

I'm a mom of three kids and we live in the Midwest (duh!). I'm married but still enjoy long walks on the beach...alone (remember the 3 kids). Really, I love my family and wouldn't change anything about them, because they all keep me on my toes and that's what I hope to share with you.

Update on my surroundings: Middle is still taking a quiz (he looks stressed) and youngest is watching a video about reading, because you know, virtual learning. And I'm sitting here starting a blog and just enjoying the view. What about that third kid? She's in college and I'll text her later.

Tell me about yourself. What do you want to know or learn? Are there topics you want to discuss?

As we grow and learn from each other, I'm sure this blog will evolve. I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Thanks for reading,

Momma J

Quick Tip: Kick Up Your Boots

I feel I can safely state that we are in full-on boot season and I couldn't be more happier. And my toes are thrilled. I don't have...
